CURRICULUM VITAE
Born on June 17, 1996, in Makarska, and graduated from high school in Ploče in 2015. In the same year, he enrolled in a single-subject undergraduate university study at the Department of Art History of the University of Zadar, which he completed in 2019, defending his thesis on the topic “Causes and Consequences of Titian’s Ultima Maniera”. That year, he enrolled in a one-subject graduate university study of art history in conservation and museum-gallery major in Zadar and graduated in 2021, earning a master’s degree in art history by defending his graduate thesis on the topic “Non-finito and the Body of Paintings: The Beginnings and the Characteristics of an (anti)Mimetic Approach”.
In 2017, he participated in the organization of the Days of Art History in Zadar, where he led a painting workshop at the Zadar School of Applied Arts and Design and collaborated in the organization of a thematic exhibition. In 2020, he participated in the Night of the Museum and in the interdisciplinary workshop on revitalizing neglected city spaces “Building – Green City”, with the project “Memento Urbis”. In 2021, he collaborated on the project “Let’s Revive Our Walls” organized by students of the Department of Art History of the University of Zadar.
Since October 1, 2021, he has been employed as an teaching/research assistant at the Department of Art History of the University of Zadar, where he holds seminars from the courses Introduction to History and Theory of Art I and Art of Ancient Civilizations and Ancient Greece in the winter semester, and Art of Rome and Ancient Art in Croatia and Renaissance Arts I in the summer semester. In addition, he manages and edits the Department’s official Instagram and Facebook profile.
In March 2022, he participated in the organization and performance of field classes in Florence in the field of art of the 15th and 16th centuries.
From April to September 2022, he participated in the curatorial workshop “Dialogue of art history and contemporary artistic production – a contribution to the development of critical thought” organized by the Society of Croatian Art Historians with the partner “Art Zagreb 2022”, as part of which he organized the multimedia exhibition “Fact and Fiction”.
Organizer of the “Film Nights – Life in Pictures” activity as part of the 19th Zadar Science Festival, in the period from May 2 to 7, 2022.
From June to December 2022, co-mentored the exhibition “Cycles” as part of the project “Let’s Revive Our Walls” organized by students of the Department of Art History of the University of Zadar.
In the winter semester of the academic year 2022/2023, he enrolled in the postgraduate study “Humanities” with the proposed dissertation topic “Contemporary Representational Painting in Croatia”.
Organization and moderation of an “artist talk” with painters Mitar Matić and Eugen Varzić in January 2023.
In March 2023, he participated in the organization and performance of field classes in Paris in the fields of Renaissance, Baroque, and modern and contemporary art.
Organizer of the painting workshop “Landscapes” as part of the 20th Science Festival, in April and May 2023.
Co-mentoring and participating in the realization of the Days of Art History in May 2023, where he led a painting workshop and held a lecture on “Physicality and Identity in the Works of Jenny Saville”.
